LAA Policy Assistant, Part Time

The Livestock Auctioneers’ Association is looking to recruit a self-motivated and dynamic Policy Assistant to undertake some of the important roles that the LAA plays within the industry. The experienced individual will have in-depth knowledge of the workings of livestock auction marts and the livestock sector in general, and with a deep passion for the future of the whole industry and those who work within it.

Work closely with and reporting to Chris Dodds, LAA Executive Secretary, the role will be flexible to fit around the applicant’s experience and areas of interest, knowledge and geographical location. It is hoped that the role will grow and develop as time goes on. Part-time and home-based, the individual will be expected to travel across England and Wales to attend and contribute to meetings and events throughout the year on behalf of the LAA. A full and clean driving license is therefore a necessity.

The remuneration package will depend on experience and the role that develops, and includes all expenses incurred during the course of activity.
